The Villa
Inside the tall walls of Villa West is a fully self-contained and secure compound, well equipped for relaxing, socializing and catering. A good many of its modern conveniences are melded with Balinese charm in the open-plan living area that first welcomes guests into the villa. In this space are facilities for cooking, dining and lounging.

The timber bench top kitchen is spacious and well lit. Open cupboards mean that finding pots and pans is an easy task, and utensils and tableware round out the full set of self-catering facilities. Three wooden tall chairs sit at the breakfast counter so that even food preparation can be a social activity.

A round dining table seats four people beneath a mood lamp that hangs low from the ceiling and whose green shade coordinates with the similar tone of the decorative floor tiles and potted plant for an uplifting atmosphere.

At the far end, this living area opens out to the pool courtyard and the ceiling rises to a high peak to create an ambience of un-cramped space. It is here that a pair of comfortable leather couches sits beside a sound system and a side branch of the pool reaches in under the roof to add a watery shimmer.

Restful Bedrooms
Villa West’s two bedrooms have the living area and part of the swimming pool separating them for privacy. Up cycled timber flooring and solid log bedside tables give these rooms a natural feel, and striking local artworks on the wall add further appeal. Large windows give both rooms views out over the turquoise waters of the pool and a sliding glass door connects each with its own corner of poolside decking with small table and arm-chairs for a morning coffee or an evening wine.

Both bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms whose vanity units, benches and carved mirror frames have a distinctly Indonesian feel to them. Decorative, hand-painted tiles bring extra character.

Outdoor Charm
Villa West’s outdoors has been developed as a courtyard with the large pool as its central feature. Weathered timber decking surrounds the pool and large bean-bag cushions add an extra mode for enjoyment of this area. A dense garden at one end and potted trees at the other bring tropical greenery to the courtyard.

If the adjacent Villa Yogan is also booked with friends, an innovative sliding wall panel beside the pool can be opened up so that both villas’ courtyards may be shared.

Location
Villa West is brilliantly situated in the heart of Bali’s most fashionable locale, Seminyak. Within easy walking distance is a thriving precinct of shopping, wining and dining. Not much further afield is the beautiful Seminyak beachfront from which spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed from the white sand itself or from within any of the numerous upmarket beachfront restaurants and bars.

Ngurah Rai International Airport is a convenient 20 minutes away by car.
