Brainchild of long-time Bali resident and chef, Massimo Sacco, his eponymous restaurant serves classic Italian cuisine, featuring the finest imported ingredients that are lovingly prepared and creatively presented. Must-tries include deep fried breaded fresh mozzarella with tomato sauce and anchovies for starters, mushroom and cream soup with garlic croutons, together with selections of salads, pastas, gnocchi, pizzas, Italian desserts including the chef’s own homemade gelato, which is considered one of the best in the island, and the chef’s specials from the southeast coast of Italy. There’s also a classical styled wine cellar housing a big selection of Italian wines for pairings. The layout is homey and congenial, with the chef occasionally delivering a touch of personalised services for his customers.
